Documenting The Process

March 16, 2008 – 8:31 am

As you may know by now, I’m working on a record (one which I will be releasing myself. I don’t trust record labels, for a variety of first-hand experiences, and I simply do not have the time and resources to spend “shopping” my music. I’d rather spend those resources publishing music, “get with the gettin’” is what I say).

So having said all that, what I am going to be doing, and have already started to some extent with this blog, is document the process. The process of writing, recording, mixing, manufacturing, and what ever else that will follow. Why? Why not. I mean, its interesting to me, so what the hell, right?

The record, entitled “Fly By Wire” will be a six or seven song release, manufactured and released as an on-demand CD (a real CD, with real packaging) a 12″ vinyl and electronically distributed (through Snocap).

If you want to follow along in the random and often mundane process of making an independent record, then this is the place for you.

(all “making of” posts will be filed under the category “work”)
